Bark Fooey 3-D is shaping up to be another grand ride. Already we have at least 6 new riders and commitments from a bunch of old riders (that's right. I called you old).

The date for the ride has been confirmed for July 30-31. We leave from Woodenville at 8AM(ish) and ride to Bellingham. The next day, we ride to Vancouver.

If you have not done so yet, REGISTER. we are quickly reaching our limit of 40 riders so don't get left out. Also, if you have not done so yet, get your hotel room reservations. I have reserved some rooms in the Bellingham Travel Lodge and the Vancouver Blue Horizon. You should too.

We are doing it again. Bark Fooey part 3 happens this August. We don't have a firm date yet but plan on it happening on Friday and Saturday of the first week of August.

Bark Fooey is open to riders of all speeds and spandex. We ride till we are hungry. We stop at all things scenic. We drink and eat at the end both nights.

The first Bark Fooey ride was a huge success. Only three flats (all on the same bike), but we didn't let that bother us, and the rest of the ride was wonderful. The weather was nice and cool.

On the ride, we stopped at every opportunity to stuff some delicious local delicacy down our throats. I had a great time. I made some new great friends. I am very exited to ride again next year. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed my time with everybody who rode.

I have run out of good things to say. Luckily Stoker Kathleen made this great slide show of the ride.

BarkFooey Training/Introduction Ride

This Sunday, seven of the BarkFooey posse got together and rode a bit. We met at the Woodinville Redhook Brewery and rode about 40 miles up and down the many hills of the area. Thanks to our awesome tour guide, Al, we didn't miss many hills, including the one big one to get to his house to take the above picture.

Two nicknames were developed and tested. Al picked up the name "Moses," because he led his people to the promised land (which always ended up being at the top of some hill). David earned the name, "Blowout" after he had two big tube ending flats on the ride. He persevered and continued on. Both Al and David can opt out of their nickname but must provide documentation in triplicate to do so.

Al and I are planning another ride the weekend of the 4th of July. If you can, try to make the ride so I can meet more of the BarkFooey bike gang.

PS. I have no idea why my arm is around H in that picture. We are good friends. Not THAT good, though. Not that it would be bad, oh, I'll just shut up now.
